Ann grew up in a horse show family, doing hunters and jumpers from the age of two to the present. She
competed on the circuit in the pony hunters, at the age of 8 and has been showing on the circuit since
then. She competed in her first High Jr. Amateur/Owner Jumper class at the age of 12 on Mary Litterio's
Adirondack Gray, and later went on to show her own horse Deri Rumroe in the Highs, and the Open
Modified Jumpers, even competing in the Gladstone Festival Of Champions for Young Riders. Ann has
been showing successfully in the baby green hunters, pre-greens, first years, all the way to the Grand Prix
level in the jumpers. She also has a successful business finding and selling horses, as well as competing
young horses for clients. Ann teaches a number of students from beginner level to advanced. Some of
these students choose to horse show, and others merely want to learn how to ride and become horsemen
themselves. Ann De Michele and Cantatu, LLC pride themselves in turning out not only accomplished
riders, but accomplished horsemen and women. Ann has worked with, ridden for, and worked for top
grand prix rider Rodney Jenkins, two time Olympic gold medalist Joe Fargis, and Nations Cup rider Kim
Prince, as well as countless others. From these people she learned skills in not only riding, but in teaching
and dealing with difficult or unusual horses. Ann's background includes breaking babies, pony club,
foxhunting, dressage, and steeplechasing as well as riding the hunters and the jumpers. With these skills
she is capable of finding a job for any horse, and bringing them along from babies to as far as their skill
level can take them.
